Tax Exemption

Buying from us to resell? If you hold a valid Texas Sales and Use Tax Permit, or an equivalent permit from your state, you can order from Cypress DTF without sales tax. Approval is a one-time setup and applies to every order you place afterwards.

Who qualifies

  • Print shops, boutiques and online sellers reselling our transfers or apparel
  • Businesses that use our products as a component of something they sell
  • Schools, churches and nonprofits holding a valid exemption certificate

Buying for your own use, or for staff shirts you are not reselling, does not qualify.

How to apply

  1. Create an account on cypressdtf.com using the Create account link at the top of any page. Use the same first and last name that appears on your permit, because we match them.
  2. Download and complete the Texas Sales and Use Tax Resale Certificate (Form 01-339). Out-of-state buyers may send their own state's resale or exemption certificate instead.
  3. Email the completed certificate plus a scan or clear photo of your Sales and Use Tax Permit to cypressdtf@gmail.com with the subject line Tax Exemption Request.
  4. Include the email address on your Cypress DTF account so we can attach the exemption to the right customer record.

What happens next

We review documents within one business day. Once approved, your account is flagged tax exempt and sales tax drops off at checkout automatically. We email you to confirm before you place your next order.

Orders placed before approval are taxed. We cannot refund sales tax already collected and remitted, so send your paperwork first and order second.

Keeping your status current

Tell us if your permit number, business name or entity type changes. An expired or revoked permit means sales tax returns to your orders until we have current documents. You remain responsible for the accuracy of what you certify to us and for any tax owed if the certificate turns out to be invalid.
