Standard DTF is flat. These are not. Puff raises off the fabric, glitter catches light, foil goes metallic, and 3D builds height into the print. They cost more per sheet than standard transfers and they are worth it on the pieces where the finish is the product.
What is in this collection
Puff transfers
Heat activates a foaming agent so the print rises off the garment by a couple of millimeters. It reads best on bold, simple shapes: block letters, a thick outline, a solid logo. Fine detail and small type get swallowed as the print expands, so keep strokes chunky.
Glitter transfers
A glitter layer under the ink that reflects light without shedding the way heat transfer vinyl glitter does. Popular for dance, cheer, birthdays and anything aimed at kids or teens. Works best on dark garments where the sparkle has contrast to play against.
Foil and metallic
A mirror finish in gold, silver, rose gold and a few other tones. Good for one accent element rather than the whole design. A foil wordmark over a flat printed graphic looks intentional; an entire design in foil usually looks like a mistake.
3D and dimensional
Layered height for a raised, almost embroidered look without stitching. Slower to press and less forgiving of thin lines, but nothing else gets that effect on a heat press.
Design rules that actually matter
Specialty finishes punish thin artwork. Keep strokes at 3mm or thicker, avoid type under about 20pt, and leave breathing room between elements so the raised areas do not fuse together. Send the design at 300 DPI with a transparent background and tell us which finish goes on which element if you are mixing.
Mixing is where these earn their keep. A common setup is a flat printed base with one puff element and one foil accent, so the eye lands somewhere specific instead of the whole shirt shouting.
Pressing them yourself
Specialty transfers are less forgiving than standard DTF. Every order ships with the temperature, dwell time, pressure and peel type for that exact film, and those numbers are not interchangeable between finishes. Puff in particular needs a lighter pressure than you would expect, since crushing it defeats the point.

How long do they last in the wash?
