Full zip or pullover
The practical difference is not warmth, it is how it comes off. Coaches, site crews, event staff and anyone moving between hot and cold all day take a jacket off a dozen times, and pulling a hoodie over your head with a hat and a lanyard on is a nuisance. That is why full zips dominate staff and coaching apparel while pullovers dominate student and retail merch.
The other difference is decoration. A full zip has no usable front print area, because the zipper runs through the middle. If your design is a large front graphic, buy a pullover instead.
Decoration areas

Pressing a full zip
Fleece with hardware in it is the trickiest garment on a heat press, and two things go wrong most often. The zipper teeth will mark the platen and the garment if any part of the zip sits under the press. Position the design so the whole platen area is clear of it, or use a smaller platen. Fleece has loft, so the first press seats unevenly. Use firm pressure, cool peel, then press again for five seconds through parchment. Skipping that second press is the usual reason a print lifts on fleece months later. Move the drawcords out of the press area or remove them.
Sizing
Gildan heavy blend runs generous and boxy, which is forgiving on a mixed group where everyone picks a size unseen. Youth 18600B runs true for its age range. Both shrink slightly on a hot wash.
