It reads strongest on black, navy and other dark garments, where the reflection has contrast behind it. On a white tee the effect is subtle to the point of being missed.
How it prints
The glitter layer goes down first, the color prints over it, and adhesive powder locks the whole stack together before curing. Under a heat press the film releases and leaves a print that flexes with the fabric. It sits slightly thicker than standard DTF but nowhere near the weight of a screen printed glitter ink.
Designing for glitter
Bold shapes and solid fills win here. Thin script and small type lose their sparkle because there is not enough surface area to catch light, and gradients turn muddy. If your design has both, we can print the fine detail as standard DTF and reserve glitter for the headline element, which usually looks better than glittering everything.
Send artwork at 300 DPI with a transparent background and mark which parts should be glitter.
Pressing and care
Every order ships with its own temperature, time, pressure and peel instructions. Glitter needs slightly firmer pressure than standard DTF, and a cold peel on most films. Tell your customers to wash cold, turn the garment inside out, skip fabric softener and hang dry or tumble low. Handled that way the sparkle stays put for years.
